My background is in fiddle style, jazz and texas swing, although my training is classical. I like to introduce a varied mix of styles and repoirtoire. Emphasis is placed on good technique, music reading, learning to develop a good ear, and the importance of a good bow hold and bowing technique. Beginning pieces include folk and classical pieces, and then the student moves on to other types of music, including bluegrass, jazz and swing, depending on the individual interest. As the student advances, theory, ear training and improvisation is taught. All of my students will be featured on the profiles page and will receive complete access to "Students Central".
Violin Lessons are $30 per half hour lesson once per week.

I use music from the Suzuki Book 1, as well as a wide variety of sheet music. All music is available at your lessons for your convenience.
